Russia 2018 with real groups and real crosses in the second round.
 

Qatar 2022

All the continental qualifiers have changed their formats, but the current places for the final phase of the tournament are respected.

• AFC: 
• First round 12 groups with 3 or 4 teams each the best of each group advance to round 2 and the first two of each group advance to the next Asian Cup.
  Second round two groups of 6 teams each, the first two advance to the world cup and the two best third places play a knockout stage to go to the intercontinental play-offs.
• CAF: First round with 10 groups of 5 or 6 teams each the winner advances to the Play-offs where the 5 winners go to the world.
• CONCACAF:
• First round 10 groups of 3 or 4 teams each, the best of each group advances to the next round
  Second round two groups of 5 teams each, the first place of each group advances to the world and the second ones go to a Play-off where the winner goes to the world cup and the loser to the intercontinental Play-offs.
• UEFA: 11 groups of 5 teams each, the first places and the two best seconds go to the world.
• CONMEBOL: Same format 4 direct to the world and the 5 place goes to the intercontinental Play-offs
• OFC: First round two groups of 5 or 6 teams, the best in each sector play the Play-off to advance to the international knockout.
• Asian Cup 2019 with real groups, the qualifiers are eliminated from 2019 and the places are obtained from the qualifiers for the world cup.
• Eliminated the Confederations Cup.
• New format of the OFC nations cup: 15 teams participating have been added to the 4 nations that are not FIFA members.
• Added CONCACAF nations league every 4 years and gives places for the Gold Cup that is changed to 16 teams and every 4 years.
• New format of the CONCACAF u-20 championship with 32 teams.

WORLD CUP 2026 and subsequent

Host USA
It is played with 48 teams 16 groups of 3, advance the two best of each group to the second round.
Places:
AFC 6
First round 12 groups with 3 or 4 teams, the best two of each group advance to round 2 and the next Asian cup.
Second round 4 groups of 6 teams each the first place goes to the world cup and the 4 second places dispute the last two places in a play-off.
CAF 7
First round 14 groups of 3 or 4 teams each, the best two of each group advance to the next round.
Round 2. 7 groups of 4 teams each the winners of each sector go to the world cup.
UEFA 20
10 groups of 5 or 6 teams each the best two of each group classify.
CONCACAF 6
First round 9 groups of 3 or 4 teams each the two best advance to phase 2.
Second round 3 groups of 6 teams each, the best two of each group qualify to the world.
OFC 1
First round two groups of 5 or 6 teams the best in each sector play the Play-off the winner goes to the world cup.
CONMBEBOL 7
Same eliminatory format the best 7 go to the world.
HOST 1

All other competitions continue with their normal rules, so I adjusted to the remaining international dates to accommodate the classifications mainly in the UEFA and CAF to not touch the Eurocopa nor the African national cup.
It has been treated that all nations enter a phase of groups.

Mistakes:
The elimination round for Russia 2018 is not played so the FIFA ranking is seen a little altered.
The host of the World Cup plays in the elimination round, although the padlocks are applied so that it does not classify and the place is redistributed.
Some occasions in the draw of the World Cup are mixed of the same confederations, although the padlocks with the editor have been applied.
